Knowingly engaging in a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause a reasonable person to feel terror, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress. The least serious stalking charge under Ala. Code § 13A-6-90.1.
Stalking 1st Degree — Class C Felony
Knowingly engaging in a course of conduct that would cause a reasonable person to feel terror, where the defendant makes a threat of harm or has a prior conviction for harassment, domestic violence, or a related offense. Ala. Code § 13A-6-90.
Aggravated Stalking 1st Degree — Class B Felony
Committing stalking in violation of any court order or injunction — protective order, no-contact order, or restraining order. This is automatically elevated to a Class B Felony under Ala. Code § 13A-6-91 when a court order is violated, regardless of the underlying conduct.
Electronic Stalking 1st Degree — Class C Felony
